'In adopting our second daughter from China, we ran into some problems with an ongoing disagreement between the U.S. and China about how to handle a particular piece of paperwork and this was delaying adoptions. This delay was scary in our case because our waiting daughter had a heart defect that required consistent monitoring by cardiologists. CCAI's staff gave me invaluable pointers about how to overcome the delay. Thanks to CCAI's help we were able to get our daughter home to the medical care she needed and today she's a healthy two-year-old.'
'The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute has been an invaluable educational resource--from in-depth background information to data on pending cases-- for addressing international adoption issues. CCAI's ability to bring congressional staff and Department of State officials together for briefings has helped me relay timely information to my constituents.'
-Senator Evan Bayh
'The FYI Program experience served as the foundation of my success. Professionally, this experience still continues to affect me positively. Personally, the program provided me with affirmation that I could succeed, which is an attribute that I lacked before CCAI.'

-Senator Mary Landrieu
