President, Christian Alliance for Orphans
Jedd Medefind serves as President of the Christian Alliance for Orphans. The Alliance unites a broad coalition of the nation’s leading Christian orphan-serving organizations and a national network of churches committed to caring for orphans. Together, the Alliance works to ignite and equip individuals and churches for adoption, foster care and overseas orphan care ministry.
Prior to this role, Jedd served in the White House, leading the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives. In this post, he led reform efforts across the government to make the creativity and compassion of local nonprofits central in all Federal efforts to aid the needy, from prisoner reentry to Global AIDS.
Previously, Jedd held a range of posts in the California State Legislature, and helped establish the California Community Renewal Project, which strengthens nonprofits in some of the state’s most challenged communities. He has also worked, studied and served in more than thirty countries, with organizations ranging from Price-Waterhouse, Moscow to Christian Life Bangladesh.
Jedd has written numerous articles and two books, including Four Souls and The Revolutionary Communicator. He and his wife Rachel live in California and have four children, one by adoption.
