Congressional Resource Program

Through the Congressional Resource Program, CCAI assists Members of Congress and their staff by providing information critical to federal adoption and child welfare policy – both domestic and international. Members of Congress can:

  • Contact CCAI with specific adoption and foster care policy questions or concerns.
  • Circulate their adoption or foster care legislation and events through CCAI’s congressional staff listserv.
  • Consult with CCAI for adoption or child welfare hearing or briefing witness recommendations.
  • Learn more about specific adoption and child welfare legislation and policy through our online resources including: our legislation list, legislative and policy reports, facts and statistics, and domestic and international policy resources.

Encourage your Members of Congress to contact CCAI to learn more about the CCAI Congressional Resource Program.

Want to learn more about current issues? Read CCAI's recently published report, Building Stronger Bridges Into Adulthood for Transition-Aged Foster Youth, which provides a glance into the challenges and opportunities for the federal government to better support young adults transitioning from foster care.
